Kingsway Court Health & Wellbeing Centre

Kingsway Court Health & Wellbeing Centre are a community development centre set up by local people for local people to help improve the quality of our life and our community. Based in Scotstounhill / Garscadden – Ward 13 of Glasgow area our vision is one of Proud, Capable, and Confident multi-cultural community. Our mission is to build social capital within the community. W we believe increasing people’s confidence, esteem, sense of connectedness and belonging is likely to be the most effective contribution our organisation can make to addressing health inequalities and improving health & wellbeing within the community.

Reason for applying to DiH

We recognise the importance of social media and web development as a highly effective aid to connect to local people, and inform them of relevant events in the Centre but we lack the capacity to deliver on this key aspect of communication.

Outcome

We are delighted with the end product and really enjoyed the experience of working with VHS and Graphics Co-op. It’s early days yet but we hope (and already beginning to feel) our new site enables us to engage more effectively in the new world of social media and information sharing.

Braveheart

Braveheart benefited greatly from the process of developing the style and content for the website and we are very happy with the end result. The new website has already helped us to secure new funding, keep our membership and volunteers informed and generated wider interest in what we do. Thank you for this programme, I strongly recommend it to others.

Safe Space

We are delighted with the new website, we received excellent feedback from our funders, users volunteers and staff. as a small charity we didn't have the funds for a new website. This has been a fantastic opportunity. both the graphics coop and Lesley at VHS have been extremely supportive and the guidance first class.
